Seagate Nurseries gets a new lease of life

Small nurseries, owned and run by horticulturalists who are passionate not just about growing interesting and quality plants but also providing a personal and knowledgeable service to customers, are increasingly rare.

Seagate Nurseries is just one such place and I had the pleasure of visiting a couple of months back to speak to Chris Davey who, along with his wife Kate, recently took over the business.

Despite being hit hard by the Coronavirus pandemic so early in their new venture they are full of enthusiasm and plans. And they will no doubt offer a valuable service to plant lovers and gardeners in Lincolnshire and beyond.

Nurseries like Seagate are a precious horticultural resource but they need our support, so check them out if you get a chance.

You can read more about them in the October edition of Lincolnshire Life magazine and a copy of the article is linked here:-
