Plant Health Risk Register

Phase 1 of the Plant Health Risk Register has been published by FERA (The Food & Environment Research Agency). This risk register is part of the government’s plant biosecurity strategy designed to safeguard the future of the UK’s trees and plants from pests and diseases, and as recommended by the Tree Health Plant Biosecurity Task Force Report published in May 2013. The taskforce was set up after the discovery of ash die-back disease in 2012.

The register is available to the public and at this stage includes details of 650 pests mainly already regulated in the UK and EU.
