Charity swim for G.R.O.W - update

Some interesting weather (very wet & windy) and adverse water conditions (an algal bloom) nearly brought the big swim to an anticlimactic end.

However the bloom dispersed and the wind settled just enough for a rather choppy crossing of Rutland Water.

The main thing was that all the money can now find its way to help G.R.O.W on their mission to improve gardens in Lincolnshire's Hospitals.

So a big thank you to all those who handed over some hard earned cash and helped raise £495 (just £5 short of target).

Many thanks indeed.....and thanks also to SwimRutland for a well organised and fun event.

NB. I won't post a picture of me in a wetsuit - too distressing for everyone (although you may find one Facebook!)
